President's Report - Update on the Stidwell Bridle Trail

The Tredwell Report on the Stidwell Bridle Trail was unanimously supported by councillors at the City of Albany council meeting yesterday !!!

Well done to all the presenters on the night, who put forth thoughtful, professional and eloquent presentations to the council in support of the Report, including our Melanie Price and Charlotte McIntyre. It was also very heartening to have Councillor Smith and Councillor Traill speak so supportingly on this issue.

The Working Party must be strongly congratulated on the culmination of this Report, for their media coverage and what can only be hours and hours of work in getting the Stidwell back in focus with the City of Albany and to our equestrian community.

However this is just the beginning of the next stage, which is where even more hard work will begin.

This is the equestrian community's track...what can you do?

It might be as simple as, yet significant as you joining the 'Friends of the Stidwell' Facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2686310154927820

The Report has recommended that the Friends will be significant in reporting issues with the track on an ongoing basis, such that maintenance work can be actioned in a timely manner.
